LOCATION: Koh Lanta is situated in the southernmost district of Krabi Province, and is perhaps the most idyllic area available where you can still find peace and quiet.Koh Lanta is actually made of two islands; Koh Lanta Noi and Koh Lanta Yai. Koh Lanta Noi is the smaller of the two islands and doesn't have tourist facilities. Visitors can traveling by road from the main land pass through the smaller island on the way to resorts on Koh Lanta Yai.Lanta Yai Island is approximately 27 km long by 12 km wide with more than 40 km of pristine coastline. The island itself has a wonderful assortment of exciting, unspoiled and exotic locations to visit and offers great white-sand beaches and unforgettable sunsets.
Layana Resort & Spa is located on the west coast of Koh Lanta Yai, on white-sand Phra-Ae Beach (Long Beach). Guests are welcomed by our airport representative and transferred directly to the resort. During the high season (from November to April), the transportation consists of a 50 minute drive from Krabi airport to Baan Hua Hin pier by minivan followed by a 20 minute scenic ride along the coast of Koh Lanta Yai on Layana’s private speedboat. From May to October, the resort operates roundtrip transfer by land transport only.
ACCOMMODATION: The resort enjoys a beachfront location, on a 3 kilometre-long white-sand beach and set up against a picturesque backdrop of forested hills. Laid out amid tropical gardens and designed to harmonize with its natural surroundings, the resort comprises low-rise, contemporary Thai style buildings that combine spaciousness with an open, cool and natural ambience.
IN-ROOM FACILITIES: Air-Conditioning, balcony, broadband Internet, ceiling fan, hairdryer, internet connection, mini bar, room safe, satellite TV, sitting area, tea & coffee making facilities, IDD telephone, non-smoking rooms available, room service. Garden Pavilions are 49 sqm. They are set in clusters of two-storey units and have garden views. They are fitted with a king size bed or 2 single beds and have a sitting area with a day bed. Bathrooms have a bathtub with an overhead shower. Beach Suites are 59 sqm and fitted with a king size bed. 2 single beds are unavailable. They have a Thai style terrace, DVD Player, sitting area with a day bed. They have a bathroom fitted with a bathtub with an overhead shower and an additional an open-air private garden bathroom with a hot/cold shower. Ocean Deluxe Suites are 88 sqm and are double storey beachfront rooms which include an upstairs lounge with DVD Player, writing desk and sofa. They have a bathroom fitted with a bathtub with an overhead shower and an additional an open-air private garden bathroom with a hot/cold shower.
DINNING & ENTERTAINMENT: Tides is a formal restaurant serving an a la carte selection of international dishes, as well as Asian fusion and seafood specialties. Menu quality is fully matched by the excellence of the wine list. Guests have the choice of a cool interior venue or an alfresco beachside setting. Sundowners, facing the beach, this is the perfect location for cool drinks and evening cocktails. Lounge is a relaxed venue for drinks and light refreshments. The Library, provided with books, magazines, newspapers and internet access, serves coffee, juices, ice creams and freshly baked pastries and cakes.
