LOCATION: Pimalai Resort & Spa is located on the south west coast of Koh Lanta Yai. Your journey to Koh Lanta Yai will eventually take you through one of Koh Lanta's local transit cities in Krabi, Phuket, Phi Phi Island or Trang, depending on your entry point into Thailand.
Transportation by road from Krabi, Phuket or Trang airport can be arranged; it consists of a 50 minutes drive from Krabi Airport, 2 hours and 30 minutes from Phuket Airport and 1 hour and 20 minutes from Trang Airport. After having reached our Pimalai Jetty (at Baan Huahin), you will be placed on board of one of our cruiser for scenic ride along the east or west coast of Koh Lanta. From November to April the boat will take you right at the resort's beach on west coast of Lanta (about 50 minutes trip). From May to October the cruiser lands on the east coast of Koh Lanta Yai (about 40 minutes trip) then transfer by mini van (an additional 25 minutes drive) by cutting through the island from east to west coast to reach the resort. In case of arriving at the village of Baan Saladan (coming from Phi Phi islands) at the northern tip of the island, transfer to the resort by car can be arranged; the trip lasts about 30 minutes.
ACCOMMODATION: Pimalai Resort & Spa is built on a splendid 100 acres of hilly land of lush tropical forest with direct access to a 900 meters pristine sandy beach. The accommodation of restful low-density and of a southern style design, are nestled in this magnificent lush tropical forest, overlooking Ba KanTiang bay. The resort features 79 elegantly appointed rooms and suites offering king size and twin beds and decorated in classy contemporary Thai style design.
IN-ROOM FACILITIES: King-size bed or 2 large single beds, individual control air conditioning, coffee & tea making facilities, mini-bar and refrigerator, cotton bath robe and slippers, large living area, bathrooms have a separate bathtub and shower and full amenities, hair dryer, personal in room safe, satellite color TV , IDD telephone, large Balcony.
DINNING & ENTERTAINMENT: Baan Pimalai Restaurant offers an outdoor dining area with sweeping views of the resort's infinity-edge swimming pool, the landscaped gardens and the bay. A great breakfast buffet is served daily whilst lunch and dinner "a la carte" menus offer both Thai and Western dining choices. Spice' N Rice Thai Restaurant offers classic Thai food dining. Rak Talay Beach Bar & Restaurant is located right on the beach, features casual light snacks, including salads, pasta pizzas and great sandwiches. In the evenings guest can choose from an abundant array of fresh, succulent seafood caught locally. Lobby Bar, a casual elegant open pavilion style lounge, set up 45 meters above sea level serving cocktails, pre and after dinner drinks.
