Just 2 hours drive from Bangkok is Pattaya, the renowned recreation center on the east coast. Its fine sand, blue sky and warm calm sea are among many other good things that prove irresistible to tourists. All manner of water sports, motor racing, offshore coral islands, variety of accommodation from budget bungalow to luxury hotel and a vibrant nightlife comprise Pattaya’s main attractions.
Other popular attractions around Pattaya include the offshore islands, particularly Larn Island with its clear water and coral beds, Khao Kieo Open Zoo with a wide range of wildlife wandering its 2,000 acres area, Sri Racha Tiger Farm which combines tiger-breeding facility, crocodile farm, scorpion farm and daily performances.
To the South is Nong Nooch Village, a botanical garden famous for its orchids and palms, which also puts on daily cultural and elephant show.
