6 days/5 nights Bangkok - Phitsanulok - Phrae - Golden Triangle - Chiang Mai Seat-In-Coach guarantee
Day 1 - Bangkok - Ayutthaya - Phitsanulok (L,D) From Bangkok by road to Ayutthaya, former capital city to visit historical sites. Continue to Saraburi to visit Phra Buddha Baht shrine (Lord Buddha’s footprint). Lunch at local restaurant in Lopburi and visit to Khmer Temples,Three Spired Pagoda and Monkey Temple. Proceed to Phitsanulok for dinner and overnight at Topland or Phitsanulok Thanee Hotel.
Day 2 - Phitsanulok - Sukhothai - Phrae (B,L) Visit to Wat Mahathat with its highly revered Buddha statue, Phra Buddha Jinaraj. Continue to Sukhothai, the first Thai (Siam) kingdom to visit Sukhothai Historical Park (accredited by UNESCO as a World Heritage site) and Sri Satchanalai to see remain of temples and palaces. Lunch at local restaurant. Proceed to Phrae to visit the Burmese-style temple of Wat Chom Sawan and Prathat Shoe Hae. Overnight at Maeyom Palace Hotel.
Day 3 - Phrae - Golden Triangle - Chiang Rai (B,L) Visit to Baan Pratabjai a house of beautifully carved teak pillars. Proceed to Phayao. Enroute visit to Pae Muen Pee, Wat Sri Kom Kam. Lunch at local restaurant. Continue drive to Chiang Rai. Visit Golden Triangle by the Mekong River where the borders of Thailand, Burma and Laos meet,. Overnight at Inn Come or Wangcome Hotel in Chiang Rai.
Day 4 - Chiang Rai - Mae Sai - Chiang Mai (B,L) From Chiang Rai by road to Mae Salong Mountain to visit Akha & Yao hilltribe villages and continue to Mae Sai, the northernmost Thai town on Burmese border. Walk through local market and lunch at local restaurant. Continue drive to Chiang Mai. Khan-Toke dinner with Hilltribes show. Overnight at Chiang Mai Plaza Hotel (or similar)
Day 5 - Chiang Mai – Bangkok (B,L,D) Sightseeing of Chiang Mai city and visit to Wat Doi Suthep on the mountain top. Visit the famous Elephant Camp and Orchid Farm. Lunch in local restaurant and visit Thai Handicraft Village producing silk, gems, lacquerwares, paper umbrella and wood carving. Dinner and overnight on train to Bangkok : (2nd class with sleepper berth-couchette). * Optional of return to Bangkok by air with surcharge of Baht 2,100.00 per person.
Day 6 - Bangkok (No meals) Arrive Bangkok late morning. Transfer to Bangkok hotel.
